New post?!?!

Yeah. Started watching Firefly, as I recently aquired it for a very good price. Only watched the first couple of episodes so far, but OMG so awesome. It's like a Western set in space. Smuggling, heroics, Nathan Fillion punching someone in the face, it's all there. Truly awesome TV.





Hum. Other news. I have been out and about recently, wich is a plus for me! Good times.

I also recently downloaded Batman Arkham Asylum demo. It's a game (you guessed it) about Batman essentially in a prison with all the supervillains and inmates going loose. Great demo, cannot wait for the game.

The sum of my boredness

Ahoy-hoy. Haven't been updating recently, due to some reasons that it's been rather boring. Went into an emo mode for a few days, but today I re-awoke the inventor in me.

Behold! Using nothing but Mcgyver-like tools, I created my own pressure pad. As you could guess, its a very simple process. You push down on it, it creates a circuit that emits a buzzer. Kept my sanity, though. I filed it under "physics-related mayhem".














It works too! I hid it under the doormat and nearly gave my brother a heart attack. Good stuff.

Onto other things. I recently read Catch-22, a good book. I might review it. Neuromancer and Paradise Lost should be arriving soon. Mebbe get a job as an editor? Not half a bad idea.

Might make a tripwire today. Shouldn't be too difficult.
Also need a job. Humbug. Am checking with Blaby Library, if I can get a job there that'd be ace. Working among books? Hells yes.

Could do with some new hoodies actually. Will need to head into town one day to sort that out.

Mythos

Ahoyhoy, i'm back in the game it seems. Just finished writing up the *sizeable* chunk of the next installment to Agressive Expansion. #3 is up right now, if you want to take a gander.

At this point in time, it *is* my summer. Birthday shennanigans were rather mild this year, compared to other years. Need stuff to fill my time with. Hurm.
A curious note of mine; this year, I only recieved a few gifts as presents. It's a little sad, because when you were younger you'd ask for junk that you wouldn't remember. Now, since your older, you're wiser about investments. Just a thought.

As said before, I need a job. Up 'till now, i've always thought i'd get a job at my local library that's close by. I visit it regularly (it's good, so lynch me) and i'm hoping there's an opening. We'll see.

Brother's vamoosed off to spain for a week. Lucky sod.

A side note; I've been re-reading American Gods, and you'd be surprised at how many religious/deity references there are in it. It focuses not only on the famous Greek Parthenon, it takes elements from Norse and Egyptian too. It takes various religious concepts into it as well, even referring in one of the funnier statemements:

"So yeah, Jesus does pretty good over here. But I met a guy who said he saw him hitchhiking by the side of the road in Afghanistan and nobody was stopping to give him a ride. You know? It all depends on where you are."

Quite funny, I thought.

One day on the internet...

Not blogged for nearly a week now; haven't had much to say, really. I now have a funky-looking cut on my wrist (NOT EMO SLITTING IT GOT COUGHT ON A BED) and i'm just keeping the wheels going.

Presentation evening tonight. Should be alright. Prom on thursday. Still don't know about transport there & back.
